Your eyes are extraordinary
In a millisecond they capture images and transfer them to your brain for evaluation and storage. Take a moment to recall a loved one, a favourite place or stunning vista in your mind’s eye. This is the miracle of sight as all of these cherished memories were originated by your eyes.
Tutbury Opticians are dedicated to the very highest standard of eye care and this means maintaining the health of your eyes as well as the clarity of your vision. Now, following our installation of a remarkable retinal camera, we are now able to photograph the interior of your eyes, meaning that we can study your eyes in far more detail.
We call this procedure retinal screening and it enables us to check for Glaucoma, Diabetes, Cataract, Age Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) and other ailments. The procedure is extremely comfortable and simply involves you resting your chin and forehead on pads whilst we take the photographs. At no stage do we actually touch your eye.
